Meet the team
Harry Ganz
Harry Ganz is a senior from Arlington, MA, majoring in Music and Political Science with a minor in Spanish. He is thrilled to be serving as Co-Music Director and Arranger once again this year, as well as continuing to sing Tenor 1 on the team. Outside of Dhamakapella, Harry is involved in several musical ensembles, primarily playing the Tenor Saxophone as part of his major, but can usually be found watching reality TV on YouTube in his spare time. In the upcoming year, Harry is excited to perform, compete, and spread the joy that Dhamaka brings!
RACHEL GOPALANI
Rachel Gopalani is a senior from Merion Station, PA. She is majoring in Applied Mathematics with minors in Economics and Computer Science. When she’s not beatboxing for the team, she sings Alto 1 (but loves both voice parts equally, of course)! She enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, working out, cooking, and playing video and card games (she dabbles). Rachel is always down for something creative (she’s been loving sticker-by-number books recently), and is thrilled to serve as Co-PR Chair again this spring. She also loves spending time with her family and friends and cheering on Philadelphia sports teams. Rachel’s had a blast the past three seasons with her DhamakaFam, and she’s excited to spread more Dhamaka love!
NIVEDITA PISHARODY
Nivedita “Nivi” Pisharody is a senior from Hoffman Estates, Illinois, majoring in Nutrition and minoring in Childhood Studies and Public Health on the pre-med track. As a fourth-year, she’s excited to continue singing Alto 2, as well as serving as the team’s President this semester. When she’s not at rehearsal, you’ll find Nivi sipping an iced latte at Phoenix Coffee, volunteering at the pediatric hospital, Rainbow Babies, or baking up a storm back home. She’s so excited to continue making music and memories and traveling the country with her best friends and is excited to see what this year has in store for the team!!
Colette hartman
Colette Hartman is a fourth-year from from New York City, majoring in International Studies and Political Science with a minor in Theater. In her third year on Dhamakapella, Colette is beyond excited to continue singing with her beloved Alto 1s. When not rehearsing or watching old Dhamaka performance clips, Colette can be found supporting her favorite soccer teams (Allez les Bleus!), struggling to keep up a consistent gym habit, or speed-walking through campus as she runs late for whatever she’s headed for. She found her family on campus in Dhamakapella, and she can't wait for another year of spending all her free time with them.
KASHISH JaISwal
Kashish Jaiswal is a senior from Randolph, New Jersey, majoring in Political Science and Healthcare Management with minors in Biology and Bioethics. She absolutely loves being an Alto 2 on the team! When she’s not hitting those low notes in rehearsal, you can find her studying at Algebra Tea House, searching for a matcha latte, or taking even more pictures of the sunset for her ever-growing camera roll collection. Kash is so lucky to have found her family in Dhamakapella over the past 3 years, and she can’t wait to see what this year holds for her and her favorite people!
SRISHTI DEB
Srishti Deb is a junior from Fremont, CA, majoring in Biochemistry. She is super excited to sing with everyone as an Alto 1. She enjoys crocheting, crafting, reading, and swimming, (but has not done any of these since the college grind began). She is often found working (or napping) in some corner of KSL or running across campus to get to class on time. Outside of rehearsal, she is a part of the Partners in Health Engage club on campus and does research at the Lerner Research Institute. Srishti is so excited to continue singing South-Asian style music in college and looks forward to the upcoming season with the rest of the DhamakaFam!!
ISHA MATTA
Isha Matta is a junior studying Nutritional Biochemistry and Metabolism major on the pre-med track, and this is her third year on Dhamakapella as an Alto 1. She's thrilled to be serving the team as this year's Choreography Director once again! Isha's favorite time of the day is when she's rehearsing with her team, but when she's not doing that, she's probably writing her own songs, listening to R&B and 5SOS, dancing, working out, or sleeping (she's, however, still sleep deprived). She can't wait for the upcoming season and is super excited to be making more memories with her favorite people!
Swapnil Roy
Swapnil “Swap” Roy is a junior from Buffalo, New York majoring in Computer Science and Music. He is so excited to serve as Dhamaka’s Co-Music Director this year! Apart from being an amazing Bass and Dhamakapella’s #1 fanboy, he loves listening to music, hanging out with friends, and chatting about anything. He also loves gaming and finding a good bite to eat! Swap is excited to start a second successful season with Dhamaka!
Ansh Ambatkar
Ansh Ambatkar is a sophomore from the San Francisco-Bay Area, California. He is dual majoring in Neuroscience and Political Science on the pre-med track. Aside from singing Tenor 2 and serving as the team’s Secretary this fall, he loves to sail, listen to music, DJ, and study for all of his classes (definitely not a joke)! He can't wait for another competition season with Dhamaka, and he's super excited to be on the team!

Gayathri “Sai” Seethamraju is a sophomore from Nashua, NH, majoring in Biomedical Engineering on the pre-medical track. She is excited to sing Alto 1 for her first year on the team! Music has always been a big part of her life, and she has carried that passion with me in college while finding a community she can grow with. She is so excited for her first competition season, learning new things, and making so many memories with this amazing team!
Maansi Bhargava
Maansi Bhargava is a sophomore from Issaquah, WA, majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Bioethics on the pre-medical track. She is also currently serving as the team’s Treasurer once again this fall! When she's not singing Tenor 1 or proudly being the only female lower voice, you'll find her drinking iced coffees, taking walks, working out, or scrolling on TikTok. Originally from the Northeast, Maansi loves hiking, traveling, and watching fall colors change to winter snowfalls, almost as much as she loves her Boston sports teams. She is so excited to perform with her Dhamaka family and can't wait to make new memories with them this season!
Ashwini menon
Ashwini Menon is a sophomore from Marlborough, MA, majoring in Medical Anthropology (with a Chemistry minor) on the pre-medical track. She is excited to sing Soprano for her first year on the team! She joined Dhamakapella because she has always wanted to gain experience in singing South Asian music as well as improve her own voice. Growing up mostly singing Western songs, she wanted the opportunity to become more connected to her roots and perform. She is so so excited for competition season and bonding with the team!
AAYumi KAtre
Aayumi “Yumi” Katre is a sophomore from Dallas, TX, and Seattle, WA, studying cognitive science on the pre-med track with minors in biology, public health, and visual design. Other than being a Soprano 1 for Dhamakapella, she's always either listening to music, dancing, singing, or playing guitar, piano, drums, or ukulele. When she isn't yapping to her friends and family, you can find her locking in after procrastination marathons, doing side quests around campus, or obsessing over her hyper-fixations (currently art, Steph Curry, sweet treats, trying to become less offline, and growing her plushie collection). She is looking forward to another amazing year with Dhamakapella!
Sandhya Muthukumaran
Sandhya Muthukumaran is a sophomore from Robbinsville, NJ, majoring in Biochemistry. Her second year on the team, she is excited to be a part of the Alto 2 line and serve as Co-Chair of Public Relations this semester! When not teetering the fence between high and low voices, she can be found listening to RnB, being a coffee enthusiast, dancing off energy, and pretending to lock in at the Kelvin Smith Library with her friends. She is beyond excited to create memories, music, and love with the Dhamaka family this year!
pranay puppalla
Pranay Puppalla is a freshman from Tucson, AZ, majoring in Medical Anthropology on the Pre-Med track. He is excited to sing Tenor 1 for his first year on the team! Pranay loves Indian music (it’s the vast majority of what he sings and listens to), but he also wants to expand and explore western music as well. Dhamaka is perfect for him because it involves both! He’s always been a solo singer, and the community aspect of music has always been one of his favorite parts about being a singer, so he can’t wait for his first year on the team!
aiyana mathur
Aiyana Mathur is a freshman from McLean, VA, majoring in Biology on the Pre-Med track. She is excited to sing Soprano for her first year on the team! Music has always been a big part of her life, from her family and training to the many different genres she’s grown up listening to. Singing has also been one of Aiyana’s favorite creative outlets and a way for her to express herself. She is so excited to bring those two parts of her life together in college! She can’t wait to grow as a singer, learn from everyone, and be part of such a fun and creative community.

Maurya Jakkaraju is a freshman from Plymouth, MN, majoring in Biochemistry on the Pre-Med track. He is excited to sing Tenor 2 for his first year on the team! Because a friend pushed him, Maurya chose to join the team to contribute to the goals of the larger group, not just to improve his own singing. Most of all, he looks forward to flexing his Spotify superstardom.
